    November 2018:

    Peter and Brian laid a wreath which included five white poppies at the Watford War Memorial. White poppies commemorate ALL people who have died in conflicts, not just the British and allied military.

     

     

     

     

     

    September 2018:  

    On the last Saturday we had a display table at the Random Cafe Autumn Fair –

     

    Earlier in the month, three WAH members (Richard, Brian and Neal) joined the South East London Humanists group to protest outside BBC HQ about the Radio 4 “Thought For The Day” broadcasts. While we were there, Jim Al-Khalili (middle of picture, blue shirt), past President and Patron of Humanists UK, joined us for the photo shoot after recording a “Life Scientific” episode in the BBC studios.

    March 2018: Humanists table at the Random Cafe Spring fair

    November 2017: John Dowdle (WAH immediate past President) placed a wreath on the war memorial outside the Town hall in remembrance of all the Humanists who have died in conflicts. Unlike the national ceremony in Whitehall, the Watford ceremony was not at all religious
