Promoting Humanism in South West Hertfordshire

  • 26th May 2013

Thursday, 13th June 2013: Debate on the subject of “Do you need god to be good?” between me for Watford Humanists and Tom Forryan, Minister of Derby Road Baptist Church, which will be held at Central Primary School Hall, Derby Road, Watford from 7.30 p.m. Jessica Hooper, Deputy Head Teacher of Central Primary School, will chair the debate meeting.

It would be nice to see some of you again and to have some degree of support from local humanists and other supporters.

Bank Holiday Monday, May 27th 2013: To hear/contribute to discussions on ‘the role of marriage in the 21st century’ [11 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.] and ‘how my beliefs have made me a better citizen’ [2.30 to 4.00 p.m.] from a Humanist perspective, come along and join me and other belief contributors in the “sacred space” at the Watford Celebration event.

The event is taking place at the Multi Cultural Community Centre, St Michael and All Angels’ Church and Littlebury Hall, Durban Road, Watford WD18 7DS.

The Centre is in a controlled parking zone so you cannot park in nearby roads. Parking enforcement still applies on Bank Holidays.

FREE parking is available at Watford Grammar School for Boys on Rickmansworth Road WD18 7JF.

The weather forecast looks good, so a short stroll from Watford Boys Grammar School should not be too taxing – and may even be enjoyable.
